So far, we have spent the new year working more on "Sol" and "Mi" and finding them visually in diagrams. These simple diagrams will later become full a music staff with 5 lines and 4 spaces, but for now we are just following melodies as they go "high" and "low."

We have also been learning more complex movements and circle games which will eventually lead to folk dance when we're a bit older! Some favorites include "Old Brass Wagon" and "Farmer in the Dell!"

Going into March, we will finally be ready to label our high and low sounds as "Sol" and "Mi" and as I mentioned, put them on a full staff. We'll also begin to discover "the rhythm of the words" which will lead us to quarter notes and eighth notes before the year is done.
