Exciting News!
The music room has been awarded no less than THREE grants for different projects this fall! These awards have brought and will continue to bring outstanding new opportunities to all Cumberland students in our music and drama classes:
Mission: iPad - We are super excited to be selected for this grant/initiative! Our music room now houses 30 ipads dedicated to bringing a 1:1 technology experience to our music making and creating.
Musical Books for Cumberland - One of two generous grants from the D62 foundation, this will bring an influx of new picture book stories related to songs, folk tales, and music making. We can't wait to make connections to Literacy and enjoy music through stories!
Ukuleles for Cumberland - Our second grant from the D62 Foundation will bring a class set of Ukuleles to Cumberland. These will be primarily used in 5th grade and other intermediate grades to enrich instrument study and give the students new opportunities for performance.
