Google Classroom:

5th grade jumped right in to rhythm, learning about combining eighth and sixteenth notes. They learned a new song to use for "The Cup Game," and have been busy reading, writing and creating to demonstrate their new rhythm skills. 

Students will continue working on rhythm and melody concepts as we begin a brand new unit for Cumberland: Ukulele! Students have already learned proper care and tuning techniques, and with a partner and the help of our ipads, will soon begin targeted practice sessions as we explore new songs and concepts.

March will also bring the beginning of rehearsing for our Spring Musical, which will indeed feature some ukulele numbers! More details to come on our performance!
